    Union County Civil Court Records

    Union County Family Court Records

    Adoption proceedings take place in Superior Court, but adoption records are sealed under Georgia law and are not available for routine public inspection.

    Marriage Records:

    The Union County Probate Court issues and maintains all marriage licenses for the county.     Certified copies of existing marriage licenses can be requested online via the FeePayOnline portal or by mail using the Marriage License Request Form. Historical marriage records from June 1952 to August 1996 are also available through the Georgia Department of Public Health Office of Vital Records using Form 3913.

    Birth and Death Records:

    Certified copies of birth and death certificates are issued by the Union County Probate Court under the access restrictions of OCGA § 31-10-26. Only the registrant or individuals with a direct and tangible interest may obtain these records — that includes parents, grandparents, adult siblings, adult children, spouses, next of kin, and authorized legal representatives. Fees are uniform statewide: $25.00 for the first copy and $5.00 for each additional copy of the same record requested at the same time.

    To request vital records:
