Wayne County Family Court Records
Family law matters in Wayne County are heard in the Superior Court, which has general jurisdiction over divorce, child custody, child support, legitimation, and domestic relations proceedings. The Juvenile Court handles dependency and delinquency cases involving minors. Family violence protective orders may be filed through the Superior Court at no filing fee.
Divorce records are maintained by the Wayne County Clerk of Superior Court. The Clerk charges $2.50 for a certified copy of a divorce record, plus $1.00 per page of the divorce decree.

A marriage license without premarital education costs $56.00 (inclusive of the Children's Trust Fund and Vital Records add-ons); couples who complete a qualifying premarital education course pay only the applicable add-ons, bringing the fee to approximately $16.00. Probate records are searchable on the GSCCCA portal for historical real estate-related recordings and can be reviewed in person at the Probate Court. The court does not maintain marriage or death records — those are filed with the state's Vital Records Office or individual municipal registers.
